No New Affiliate Marketing Strategies + ChaCha Again (Even If Its Lame)
I thought I would mix things up with my little anime/manga reviews. Above is a video which you won't understand too much, but I covered the anime it's from in an earlier post that incidentally mentioned my lacking of following through on affiliate marketing strategies. In case you need a reminder, the anime is "Reborn!" and its about a baby being a mob boss. I really like the band, UVERworld, and the song, Hakanaku mo Towa no Kanashii (trans: Fleeting and Everlasting Sorrow) used in the video, and the editing is pretty nice.
Anyway, looks like my school has finally caught up with me and if I don't make a massive payment soon they'll start escalating their collection of my debt. I have no desire to find out what that means, and frankly, I had planned on setting aside some time to pay off the balance that had accrued after I temporarily dropped out of school (although I guess it may become permanent if I can find a job and then get stable cash flow to invest in my internet business).
But on with the post... So this blog is all about affiliate marketing strategies... yet I've done almost no affiliate marketing in the past little while. I have decided it's going to be tough to get enough cash for link building services, but I'm finding more and more that it's almost impossible to put up a fight without a quality backlink building service or two under your belt. Every other person I find in my niche seems to have a way of massively backlinking, so, even though I'm high on the second page or on the bottom of the first page sometimes, I know I won't be able to survive there AND build links to other properties simultaneously. In other words... Next month or so I'm going to get a subsciption to a link service like Unique Article Wizard, or, if I can scrounge up the money, Linkvana which worked BRILLIANTLY the last time I did it (on the free 5 day trial that's somewhere on Google)
As for my earnings... I've made 1 sale in the past 11 days. I think I'm about done with Clickbank since my last ditch attempt to save one of my campaigns failed miserably and I don't have time to really build up another good one any time soon. Now I'm thinking I'll try CPALead and some other stuff next month while also doing ChaCha.
Oh, my Adsense "Macro Niche" site has about 14 pages of pure, keyword rich content now, and although its massively gained Alexa rank (now ranking in the top 1.1 million somehow) and has a pretty steady flow of traffic, it's not getting a lot of clicks. I might have picked the wrong niche, but then again, I only have about 3-10 visitors a day and they all come from my one article ranking 2nd in Google. After I finish off the rest of the site I'll have time to backlink every single page (of a planned 90-100 pages) and optimize the Adsense blocks (right now I've just got one 336x280 block in the top left, but it sits oddly, like, right beside the content unlike, say, this site on kettler rowing machines where you see his content sits below the Adsense blocks. My blogger blogs that do manage to rank get more clicks when the content is styled like that. I just can't figure out how to do that with Wordpress (at least not with the Adsense and YPN plugin I'm using). Anyway, I'm thinking about spending some time with Hubpages again and revamping my microniche site theory, but with Hubpages (same thing that the guys over at the Keyword Academy and Ben from Make Money Online with SEO did about a year ago). Maybe I'll find a monster niche and be able to take it with a website of my own.
Well, now that ChaCha is only paying .02 dollars a query for Expediters and .03 a query for Transcribers, I should probably stop talking and get to ChaCha.
I hope everyone else is doing better than I am in making money online. I've got about 6 months when March hits to have a full time income ($3000 a month) via internet marketing, so I'm going to ramp things up now that I have an honest idea of what the hell I'm doing (you learn SO much when you actually START and stop procrastinating, I just start in bursts of 1-2 weeks, then procrastinate for a month is the problem, lol).
Peace,
Broke

Hey Broke,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're going to give HubPages another try. I'm the Community Manager over there. We're starting a health-themed contest (with over $3000 in prizes) starting on Monday, March 1st. It would be a great way to dive in, if you're at all interested in that niche. Don't hesitate to holler in my direction if you have questions or need support.
Sounds interesting, I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for the comment!
