The interesting butler you see above, Sebastian, is from a series appropriately named Kuroshitsuji, or Black Butler. Well, I guess not that appropriately since he's not spinning raps and rocking a gangsta hood chain, but hey, at least he's wearing the right color. It's an interesting manga to me. Why it's interesting to me, I have no idea. Maybe because it has a bit of mystery (probably my favorite genre of anything in entertainment) or because the art is magnificent, or because the juxtaposition of the dark, gory scenes is blended so well with the humorous scenes of Sebastian pulling off miraculous feats (he's a demon, by the way, which is the real reason he's considered the "Black Butler"). Either way, it amuses me. But you're probably hear for internet marketing, so I'll get to it (I'm going to laugh if someone seriously keeps coming back to this site cause of the opening manga snippet!)
Yeah, that pretty much sums up my week. One interesting thing is that I've now reached the point where I have completely consistent sales weekly. I don't think I've missed a week of having a sale since October, which is not too long after getting my first sale. I was so afraid this week would break the chain, but on the very last day I managed to grab another sale of the first product I ever promoted by the way, that blogger blog sniper site is now on the first page for not one, not two, but three related keyterms that it's targeting. Took 3 months, but who cares! Naturally a lot of this momentum has come from using the Link Juicer (affiliate link- seriously; who cares?). I'll do a full review for that service later, but for now, just know it's actually working, apparently. The only other thing I did for that blog was plug all the posts into Free Traffic System (which got it indexed and ranked alright for two key terms, and in position #4 for its main keyterm, but that ranking later disappeared until I revamped backlinks with the Link Juicer). My other sniper site is stuck on the second page, bouncing from 12-15. I've been giving it weekly free traffic system shots since late November (I think) and it's come a long way from 130 (it's absolute lowest rank) for keyterms, but it's still not touching page 1, which sucks.
And to round out Clickbank income, my article that was pulling in most of my money for me (even though it was pretty pathetic and links to an even more pathetic hubpage based landing page) is down to position 8 from 6 in Google, is down from 5 to 8 in Live, and is sometimes not even indexed in Yahoo. I'm pulling ever dwindling traffic from it, and as such, fewer sales. I'm not sure if I want to stick with that niche, honestly, but I might for a while longer if the article rebounds- I gave it a few (dozen) backlinks from various sources.
And now on to Adsense. Ah, Adsense, I hardly new ye! Truth is, figuring out a battle plan with these snipers is harder than I thought. I don't know if I didn't have enough keyword rich content, or if they just don't rank as fast when on blogspot, but two that I've put out are not ranking on their second week, when my first sniper site using George Brown's methods were ranking at this time. I've put them through Free Traffic System, and ran them through a directory submitter, so I'll see how things turn out for them. But as for my new Adsense affiliate marketing strategies, well, I have a few ideas on how to change the layout I gave a while back to improve it.
Namely not using blogger solely. I think I'll focus on Wordpress using .infos for a few sites, then switch over if they still don't rank as well. I was inspired by reading Clickbumps threads over at the WarriorForum. Now I don't often go the WarriorForum, and I'm roaming Digitalpoint less and less, but Clickbumps threads are really inspiring to me. Check em out here.
My new strategy will focus less on making a really "stable" site right off the bat, and instead I'll put some effort into getting a ranking site off the bat, and then make it stable as I go along. Before I was saying I'd put up 4-5 pages of unique, quality content, but until I can afford to outsource I think I'll just write one really optimized post and bookmark the site using Onlywire or something. I'll also probably run that post through free traffic system, and give it a few weeks to see where I stand on the site.
However, with all that said... It's all going to have to wait until after February 2nd. Why? Because the Broke Affiliate's house broke! See what I did there? To put a long story short, we had a leak from a pipe in the roof, and then the roof broke, and, to make matters really rather unfortunate, our house was going up for sale by the 2nd cause we were going to move any way. With how hectic it is (not to mention cold- gaping hole in the roof takes a lot of the hot air with it!) around here, I won't be able to properly work, as I've already seen. Nonetheless, I think I'll hit up ChaCha for some domain money.
I hope everyone else has been using their affiliate marketing strategies (see what I did there?) to make some major bank- I know I'm slowly but surely moving to that 4 figures of passive income! By the way, in case you forgot, I'm aiming to actually rank this blog (aside from getting an 885,000 Alexa ranking) and make it useful for, you know, making money, so I'm targeting keywords as I go, and affiliate marketing strategies is first on the list. Yay for affiliate marketing!
