Happy (Broke) Holidays + Moving Into Micro Niche Adsense Sites!

Hey everyone, it's been a while since my last update, but I wanted to pop in really quickly for a holiday update. Even though it's technically the day after Christmas, I didn't have much of a chance yesterday due to being with family. Anyway, hope everyone had a nice Christmas and hope you all have a happy New Year as well!

The last few weeks- starting around December 15- sales returned! Check it out:
I sold two more of the guide that I had almost given up on selling again. I think it might be because I reworked the landing page on that guide (which is built using a blogger blog, by the way). The smaller $18 commission is from the same old thing that's been selling from basically 2 ezinearticles and a direct link to the merchant website in the resource box. I changed up the direct link though when Ezinearticles went crazy saying the merchant's website was basically not to their standard, so now I'm linking those two articles to a hubpage for a lander. It seems to be converting, but I'm thinking about building a more professional lander and slapping up an opt in form and maybe also using CPA on a site like that. Even if it only gets me a dozen opt ins and a couple of CPA leads, I could then flip it for a pretty nice profit, I imagine if I get my consistent sale a week. They say you can flip sites for 3-5x monthly value, so $250 I'm thinking.

But aside from that, I've also found another little niche I'm interested in and I think that will be my last Clickbank project for a while. I said ages ago I would stick with the four ill defined facets of internet marketing and learn which one I would want to have a more serious go on down the road. The four facets, in summation (in case you don't want to wander through that post) are basically: Adsense, Digital and Physical Affiliate promoting, CPA, and MLM marketing. I started trying to figure this Clickbank thing out, and I think the go I've made of it is pretty impressive. I'm also taking a bit more time off of school, so I won't have to balance learning complex programming and backlinking sites etc.

Which leads me to my next point- Starting around New Years, I'm going to start an Adsense Sniper campaign. I'll probably use Blogger blogs starting out. The goal will be to simply put up unique, high value content about a particular niche subject, and slap an Adsense ad on the page as well. As simple as it gets. I'm going to try and find 3 micro niche ideas that are low competition, but that have high CPC, and put up 3 of them per day for the month of January.

I'll be combining methodologies from people like George Brown of Google Sniper, Ben K. of Make Money Online with SEO, Grizzly of Make Money For Beginners (I'd link, but really you should know him by now), the guys from the Keyword Academy, and most recently I've managed to read John X-Factor's Microniche Adsense Masters Course.

My guess is I'll fail at getting ranked in the first 30 days, unless I finish pumping them out faster than I expect and can start to build backlinks. I think the only thing I'm really going to do initially is Onlywire them. If they need more link juice I'll give it to them later.

Well, outside of future plans and past successes, I'm also struggling along with my first "official" Google Sniper site. It's now ranking 19 for its keyterm pretty steadily. Google danced it around to 36 and 53 for a while there, but the past week it's been 20 and 19 in Google for its target keyterm. Oddly enough, the short tail of the key term which I've basically been ignoring is also slowly moving lower in rank (before it was 26, now it's 23-24). Oh, and my Is TriFilliate Payday A Scam? review of Trifilliate Payday is still ranking. 1st for Triffiliate payday scam, and 5th for Is TriFilliate Payday a scam! This domain is officially on Google's "trust list", so I imagine I'll be able to rank for trendy non-competitive topics like that pretty easily (keep in mind I did those articles the day after or of TriFilliate Payday's release, and others had prelaunch sites set up and were feverishly backlinking them, yet cause my site is in Google's trust section, it flew past them). If I were one of those douches that just bled people for cash at every opportunity without even trying a product, I'd be set. But because I have a conscience, I don't think I'll be able to use this to my advantage much (although expect a Niche Blueprint 2.0 review- I've recently been going over Niche Blueprint and I'm really liking it, so I might check out 2.0 as well).

Alright, that's about it for me! Looks like I made around 1/4 of my goal of $1000 in total by December, but I didn't work 1/1000 as hard as I should have, so that's pretty good. New Year is when I'm going to kick it into high gear. I'm not setting back my goal to get to a full time income ($3000 a month) by March 2010 instead of September. Well, sort of, I'm still setting my "if you aren't there by September quit this IM thing" watch on September, but I hope I can reach the magical 3 triple 0 by March. I figure I just need to pop out 35 more sites that get me a sale a week approximately and I'll be there. (If average commission is $20 then multiply that by 35 sales every week of a month, which is 4, and it's $2800. A few extra days would net me near enough to that $3000).

Full Jani G's Trifilliate Payday Review + Can I Rank for "Is TriFilliate Payday a Scam?"

And no, that was not a shameless plug. Well, not a shameless, pointless plug (a Shpplug?) anyway. What you would have seen if you clicked the link is basically a replica of one of the types of sites that Jani Ghaffor of the new TriFilliate Payday, would have created. I figured I'd continue my system of reviewing new internet marketing products that I come across by writing a keyword rich header, then implementing basic SEO (I'll do a run on Free Traffic System after this) and, most of all, I'd show you guys that are reading a portion of what you can expect "behind the curtain" of the systems. Just like I introduced my Google Sniper Review in the same way George Brown suggests in his ebook, I built a quick webpage using philosophies from Jani G's TriFilliate Payday system.

Of course, if you want to skip the TriFilliate Payday review and all the needless plugs of Is Trifilliate Payday a scam and "TriFilliate Payday scam", then:

With that said, let me just get this question out of the way: "Is TriFilliate Payday a scam". And by "get out of the way" I mean put in quotes so the search engines know it's extra relevant and give this page some extra rank. The answer to that question for you guys wondering, however, is an absolute, big fat, NO. Now you can choose not to believe me- after all, I did sign up as an affiliate for the product just in case someone does find this crappy little site (or the one I just built above) and decide to pick up from my link, but this is going to be an honest review. Then again, I guess if you choose to disbelieve me on my opinion of a TriFilliate Payday scam, then chances are you won't be too open to me being honest, eh? Read on, though, because I'm about to give you an overview of the system in a nutshell. Then you can decide to buy or not.

Okay, so Jani G's TriFilliate Payday- fresh off the virtual presses- is, from my point of view, a kind of revolutionary new system on list building and list management. And by list I mean email lists that people sign up to and then you can toss affiliate offers or promotions at them for as long as they stay subscribed. This TriFilliate Payday review won't go into list building outside of Jani G's system much, but I will tell you from experience it's a pretty rough task if you have no experience building an opt in list. The most basic way of building a great site and getting it ranked takes a ton of time and if you're not ranking for a great keyword the traffic you pull may not subscribe often enough to make it worth your wait. Even using PPC is hard because while you may get clicks and you can optimize for subscribers, it'll take a big bunch of money to really do well.

But TriFilliate Payday completely changes things. Instead of relying on search engine traffic, Jani G basically shows you how to manipulate smaller individual pools of traffic for a much more targeted and effective list building sequence. Is TriFilliate Payday a scam that's going to get you big lists full of useless people (like Double Opt in lists)? No, don't worry, the method involves getting targeted people onto your list who will be buyers later on down the line if you treat them right.

I can't disclose everything about what incentive Jani G uses in this TriFilliate Payday review, because it would be kind of douchey to give away the secrets, but you can get TriFilliate Payday for $97 by clicking here.

Now the big question for this TriFilliate Payday review is: Does TriFilliate Payday work? Well the page I linked above, to show you a teaser of the kind of pages you would have to put together (don't worry, that took only an hour even using the weebly.com interface- with your own site building software and hosting you'll probably be able to move faster) is laid out like on of Jani G's examples, but it isn't using the traffic source he suggests because it's just a sample for you all.

However, in theory, I would say that Jani G's TriFilliate Payday should work. I don't know about pulling in the kind of paydays he actually boasts about consistently, but certainly you could look forward to several hundred or even $1000 from a new launch.

But I do think there is one huge flaw that Jani G's TriFilliate Payday system kind of glosses over or doesn't even acknowledge- versatility. This isn't Google Sniper, which kills in any niche. The examples given by Jani require not only a launch, but pretty much a glitzy launch in the make money online niche. I'm sure if you thought outside the box and went searching harder for niche specific forms of the traffic source you would find them, but I don't think Jani gave any info on finding them easier or getting a high opt in rate.

Overall, I think this system has a few interesting concepts, and the idea of building a list in the way I can't detail in this TriFilliate Payday review, but which is pure genius on Jani G's part, is great.

However, I would not recommend you buy TriFilliate Payday. Simply because the $97 price is a little steep for what you're getting. This is a great way to build a make money online niche list, but you will have to really warp and twist if you want to make it fit in other niches. The lead incentive that Jani G suggests you use to get people to opt in relies on having kind of direct contact to an authority figure in the niche, which is hard for, say, the health niche.

Regardless, if you came here by typing Is TriFilliate Payday a scam? Into Google, be aware that it does work, but its use is limited. You may want to try it out yourself if you're in the make money online niche, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Week in Review + Festivus Christmas Slowdown

Short post, so no manga review today (But I marathoned Medaka Box earlier this week, so expect a review of that some time down the line).

That being said, the picture above speaks for itself on something or other. Most likely exactly how noobish I am. As you can see, I've made a whopping $200 since beginning as an affiliate marketer all the way back in July or so. Now to be fair I set myself a goal of $3000 a month in September, and only got really serious (as in doing something every day) halfway through October. Actually ChaCha has thrown me off from most of my really regulatory stuff, simply because I can't afford to not take the guaranteed cash, yet. Anyway, add this to my CPA earnings of $21, and a few other sites where I've made a couple dozen dollars and I'm about 1/4 of the way to the $1000 goal I set for the new year (without using ChaCha). With this becoming apparent in my mind I decided I'd have to kick it into high gear around December 21st.

And by "kick it into high gear" I mean expend the $300 some odd dollars in assorted free advertising credits to promote my landers. I do have Aweber now, like, officially, and I even have a subscriber to my sniper site (which is ranking 37 for its purposefully targeted keyterm that gets 3000 searches a month, and 23 for its accidental keyword that gets almost 9000 searches a month). I also signed up for a 7-day free trial to Linkvana, and today all I did was post about 20 of their little posts for each my sniper site, and the blogger blog I set up for another product.

However, it looks like I'm going to have to start majorly fund raising, even with the cash I have I still need about $1000 by January 3rd if I plan to return to school. And that's assuming I can cash out all of my Clickbank earnings (which according to them I'll only actually get around $160 or something around that amount). But I am seriously considering taking some serious time off and going full time. I"m also going to be moving come the new year, so it might be easier to just not go back to school immediately.

Anyway, the secondary part of this post is kind of something I (and people on digital point, yes, I still go there) have noticed: Christmas is a bad time for digital products. My guess is people are too busy planning parties and buying tangible gifts (cause let's face it, no one wants to hand their family member a laptop and pull up an ebook on Christmas... Well, maybe if they bought the laptop) to look around online for cures to whatever ails them.

I'm thinking the only things that are doing really well are CPA offers. Even my Adsense income is down (part of this probably has to do with me only have 20 hubs and two blogger blogs to make up Adsense- BTW, I've made a combined $40 between my account and my mom's account, which I basically use for backup, but she has some stuff that's given us about $5).

Then again, maybe all the guys at digitalpoint are really morons and I'm a loser and people are still buying like crazy. I have no idea. But I tell you, I can't wait until this time next year when I'll (hopefully) have a better ground to stand on and not be constantly scrambling at things to make money. What's your experience this Christmas? Making the same amount of money? More? Less? Comment below and share.

Well, that's it for me this week. I know I said I would try and get a rough draft of my ebook, but I didn't do any work on that either. I'm definitely going to finish it by the New Year, though. Good luck and good bye!

P.S. I hope someone got the Seinfeld reference; I watched that episode earlier this week, lol.

Do I Know Enough About Making Money Online to Teach People How to Make Money Online + I'll Link If I Want To

Gamble Fish is a series about a 16 year old "gambler" (really he's kind of a psychological savant with a little con artist mixed in) whose goal it is to yank 10 billion yen ( approximately 114.72 million U.S. dollars) from students in his new prep school which is filled with rich kids. I went through all 24 chapters that have been scanned earlier this week cause it was pretty short and while I won't say I'm disappointed or that it was a waste of time, I will say that the author should've tightened up the concept a little more and stuck to it. I really like puzzle manga and series so this one, which ended up being more about "how will Tom cheat his way out of this situation" was a let down on that level.

But no one comes here to read my manga reviews (don't worry, one day I'll buy two separate domains, one for myself as a make money online guy and another purely for manga reviews and anime news. Probably around May of next year, at the rate I'm going with making money online), so I'll start with the topic and week in review.

Over the past week I've been hazing through ChaCha. They had a Thanksgiving contest which kept me up for a full 16 hours straight last Thursday (yes, I did nothing but ChaCha for Thanksgiving. I'm extremely poor), and even though my family had regrouped for the holiday we didn't do anything else but work. My sister on her grad school applications, my mom on writing articles for the fun of it (she still refuses to do keyword research or properly plug in affiliate products) and me on ChaCha. I did spend a little time writing on my latest niche, and tweaking my article campaign that has pretty consistently given me one sale per week. Actually this past week I got 2 sales after changing the product. I'm not sure if that means it'll definitely convert better, but the product I switched it out for had a higher gravity and pays out a few dollars higher than the old one, so I'd be happy even if the conversion rate was a little less. This is the same direct linking campaign I talked about earlier. I wrote up 3 more articles for it.

I'm finding it really hard to edge around the new FTC rules, though. I think one of my articles which states that I'm an affiliate as plain as day, but puts the spin "oh, and I found out you can get paid by selling xxxx too!" on that seems to be getting very few order form impressions. Not sure if it's because that article was basically crap or some other reason.

Also, my sniper site rankings are all over the place. I know people say you shouldn't check things daily, but I'm not going to lie: I do. Actually I do it hourly probably. Anyway, my current self owned domain site is ranking 40 for its main key term after I tossed some backlinks its way, and, some how, it's ranking for a shorter tail of that key term that gets over twice the traffic according to the Google keyword tool, at position 23! I'm going to keep targeting the long tail of the keyword, and hopefully move it into place on both the long and short tail.

My other site... Well, it's stabilized at result 14 of the SERPS for its main key term, and its shorter tail is hovering on page 4 at result 36. I have yet to make another sale since October from this site as well, which leads me to believe I should swap the product. But that would take too much effort for me now, so I think instead I'll just let it drown out.

Adsense wise my earnings are finally becoming consistent. Not consistently high, but now I rarely see $0.00 days, and I can generally expect about $0.10 a day. Of course, since it's from hubpages mostly, that's like, $0.005 per hub.... Regardless, I've made $0.55 today so it's been pretty good.

I'm not quite sure yet when I'm going to jump on the IM horse again. It seems like it's been forever since I wrote an article or did keyword research when it's just been 2 or 3 weeks since I seriously devoted time to IM. Oh, and my CPA stuff hasn't been a complete waste- I've now made $18.40 with combined work of several campaigns.

But enough about my earnings and now let's talk about my topic of the day. So this past week has also given me time to reflect on how I'm going to reach my magical goal of full time income in time for my junior year of college in September. I realized that I'll probably end up launching my own product. I've vowed to never sell anything except software or actual tools in the make money online niche (well, not anything I create myself- I obviously affiliate sell in this niche), just because it was so frustrating for me to have no money to buy the information when I started. But I do think I might be able to write something in the computer programming niche or something.

Anyway, when I realized this, I thought I should get started practicing this now. And so I'm now doing something I never thought I'd do: I'm writing an ebook. I think I'm going to make it a give away for free kind of thing full of referral/affiliate links. This ebook will be in the make money online niche. Which brings me to my next point: Have I really learned enough to teach people how to make money online?

Or, more importantly, how much do you need to know or have done to be qualified to be a "guru" or "teacher" or whatever of make money online? I've made over $1000 online in 6 months. Not terribly impressive, but better than those who make mere pennies, right? Now if all that was residual income that would be something, but anyway...

Most of the ebook I'm writing will be bare bones basics that people who have already been exposed to making money online will know about. I will have a section on affiliate marketing and CPA etc. but I will mostly talk about things like Neobux, treasure trooper, and more solid, guaranteed money makers for the beginning person seeking to make cash online. I don't have many readers/followers, but when I manage to put it together (so far I've mapped it out and I have 13 chapters planned, as well as the intro- I'm on chapter 2 now) I'll be sure to provide a review copy.

Another interesting thing about making money online is that I've made enough money that I feel proud actually telling people. However, two of my friends who can't find jobs are now asking me about how to make money online. This is great, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to teach more than my mom (who doesn't need to rely on making money online to put food on the table- my friends are still living with parents, so they don't need to yet, but I just don't want to be the guy who lures them into thinking they never need to go out and get a "real job").

Anyway, do you think you're qualified to teach people how to make money online, or where do you stand?

See you guys next week with an update (and hopefully a finished ebook draft!)
