Bloody Monday is pictured above (just in case you couldn't figure out the name for some reason by just looking) and man is this manga awesome. I just started reading it this week in between ChaCha questions when my brain is almost numbed from all the constant ChaCha. Main plot is basically about a genius hacker, Fujimaru Takagi (AKA Falcon) whose in high school stumbling upon a terrorist plot and then having to work with his special agent father to bring down the terrorists and save the world. It involves a lot of logical deductions as Takagi and his school friends play a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the terrorists.Anyway, my money making endeavors... Well, for all of last week and (so far) all of this week I decided to run a kind of experiment as a way to test my current progress towards my goal of making $3000 a month online by September 1st of 2010, and also because I'm trying to create passive income for right now by making a couple hundred dollars with ChaCha. The experiment is pretty simple- write no more articles, build no more Web 2.0 properties, and just generally stay away from the stuff I've already got going for future passive income. I was going to try and work with ChaCha and keep updating blogs etc. but I realized that would be far too much work if I want to get a decent amount of money with ChaCha and not write articles that look like crap and still get a full
Needless to say, I wasn't expecting to make much of anything except the few pennies off of Adsense once in a blue moon, but now I'm getting $.01-$.10 a day pretty regularly with my one Adsense account- all of this from this crappy blog and a combined 18 hubpages (half of which aren't ranking). In addition, a big surprise came from seeing that a CPA offer I put up (an email submit paying out $1.30 per submission) has made me almost $10 since I threw up a site dedicated to it and did a hubpage promoting the site. (Check that out at Make $100 a Day)
It took half an hour for that weebly page to get set up, and I've made $10 from it, so that's like $5 an hour at least. Not bad.
But the really exciting thing was, last week, I got another sale for $30. My guess is I'll probably end up getting a random sale every month (maybe even biweekly if it works out like last time) from just the stuff I've done now.
So if I really spent time organizing my streams of passive income like some people (click the link people) I'd probably notice myself making about $40 per month in total. Not much. Far below the 3k a month I'm aiming for, but what can you do?
Oh, but perhaps my favorite part about this week's project (read: me ignoring the real online ways to make money online so I could get some "startup capital" for later) was the fact that after just three postings on Free Traffic System (too lazy to link- just type into Google) to all the pages of my 3 page Google Sniper Site, I've moved 26 places in Google as of today. I started out ranking 164 for my keyterm, but now I'm ranking 138. I don't think Yahoo got the message on the backlinks, though, because I'm still ranking 166 for them.
I'm definitely going to ramp this up somehow, but I have no idea how since the subject matter I used to increase my rankings only has about 20 blogs in Free Traffic System. Reusing them would probably be bad, and the effects would diminish I imagine after the fourth time or so. I'm thinking the first thing I'll invest in with my ChaCha cash is a backlinking service. Been hearing great things about Linkvana, but The Link Juicer is cheaper, so I might go with them.
Well, that's it for me and making money online this week. Good luck to everyone else as they try to make money online and peace!
(Don't you just love how much I plugged "make money online" in the last few sentences of this post? Yet I still won't rank for make money online..... OKay, done plugging now... Make money online... Okay, now I am...)

Congrats on the CPA sales. I have had absolutely ZERO success with CPA so far. I just do not get how to create a site that converts...that, or I pick crappy niches (which may be the case).
ReplyDeleteI have used Free Traffic System in the past as well, but I have also found a few articles that I listed there with my links removed and some crappy spam links added. I guess that is the risk you take.
Hey, thanks for dropping by again! Found me in your backlinks, did ya, lol?
ReplyDeleteI've also noticed that some of the links I've been getting have disappeared, but so far my site hasn't taken a huge hit from this. It's fluctuating right now around 29-32 spots in Google (as of this writing its 31).
Good luck with CPA; I really do like that you just have to get an email address, but it can be hard if you don't have the right niche, I guess.
