Pay Per Install (and download) Programs

If you're looking for common place make money online programs, then I doubt you'll find one more common place than this type of affiliate marketing.
Now, being the Broke Affiliate, you can bet your luck that this type of program hasn't made me a fortune. But it's still a very nice program.

Let me explain my experience with PPI (pay per install) and PPD (pay per download- not sure if that's a valid abbreviation before now though) programs. PPI programs, like Zangocash.com, offer you money everytime their piece of software is installed onto an outside computer. A lot of people set up software download sites or "free media" sites that require you to download the software of the specific company before you can access the media/downloads.

Most of Zangocash's affiliates, at least, seem to be good with it. Considering you can get paid $1 per install at the lowest levels of a program like Zangocash, and then you get paid more if you get over a certain number of installs (I think it's 3000), then you could seriously be pulling in some major cash. However, other affiliates seem to think that ZangoCash's benefits are outweighed by the costs- namely their subscribers who download the software find it problematic from the technical standpoint. McAfee's Site Advisor found a number of red flags (spyware and adware risks) for one.

Other PPI programs may or may not see the same kind of controversy, but I'm in the camp of affiliate marketers that think it's just too big of a slap in the face to loyal subscribers (sure, I may not have any right now...) to promote a product that you know has a fairly bad reputation.

Pay per download programs, on the other hand, are less dangerous, it seems. Most of these programs, like Uploading.com, Easy-Share.com, and Filefactory.com pay users something like $10 per 1000 downloads, or they may have another similar payscale. But anyone will tell you that getting 1000 downloads for most files is pretty tough. It'd be tougher to scale that up across multiple files as well. Which is where my personal favorite site comes in: Sharecash.org

Sharecash is similar to other PPD sites, but instead of getting paid per 1000 downloads, you get paid per download. "Per" as in singular. Every one download nets you from $0.30-$0.60! So every 1000 downloads you'll get $300-$600 instead of a measly $10. Or that's the theory, anyway. I've uploaded a file since last month, and got 5 downloads, which netted me that $1.50 you see at the post header.

Why haven't I done more? Simply because, like all sites, Sharecash has its pros, and its cons. Its cons in this case are that the download links you provide through Sharecash aren't simple streamlined downloads like mediafires, or even "wait until the timer runs out to start your download" types of links. Instead, the downloader has to go through a GPT like survey, offer or you have to enter your email or phone number. Most users would rather just look for the file elsewhere.

However, despite that, some users DO still use your links and thus you get paid! Sure, it's not much, but when you consider that you'd be getting paid the equivilant of a penny per download almost every where else... It might be worth it.
